Kingsley is the youngest member of The Lark at 9 years old. They play The Enkindled in the play.
“Kingsley, vim and wily, wields a mirth to be mimicked; augmentation. Decorously they'd sit with a sprightly grin, astute, having acknowledged a power; the wonders of seeing the world through the eyes of a child. The crops have not been well this year and you've ought to tell the person donning the crown. Embroider your concerns with ample precision, as your ruler may be brisk, and you are not the only whose harvest have gone askew. Picture a palace, vaultings unreachable, having walked the main hall; entertainers, from poets to balladeers, summoning butterflies in the bellies of ready knights and commoners such as yourself. Proceed to the steps where the carpet would cease, and at the end is a throne whose beside it; a steward governing over uproars. All in preparation for both books worshipped and unwritten. Childish though nowise hare-brained, this is their kingdom as well as their playground. Pages empty for them to fill, won without competition. A disuse of exuberance to think that we were not a part of such victory, no cause to amplify, as a majesty is no sovereign on its own.” The least is known about Kingsley's story, just who they are as a person. They are an orphan and due to them not bearing a last name it can be assumed that they were orphaned young. Despite this they are and have always been spirited. They amplify others personalities and moods. Adults in their life always taught them to be quiet. Less obnoxious and blunt. But that is not who they are. So they didn't listen and have now found a community where they belong. They are the majesty, they are the wonder that Meadowlark represents. Many forget that children are meant to play and dance. To have excitement. And many forget that children interpret things in different ways than grown-ups. And that they internalize things that those say to them throughout life. Kingsley shows to not listen to foolish people who don't want you to be happy. "Kingsley's eyes are a pair of periwinkle blues. Written to echo the early memories of my childhood, a confidence I have chosen to tame. I was told that my heart was blue, like sapphire, as I was born in the month of September. I've marked that colour as my truth ever since. Trailing after yellow, it is apparent to paint something of significance; from eyes, hearts, to pinky promises." -Keath Ósk Kingsley has many nicknames given to them by the rest of The Lark, despite them being the one coming up with most of the nicknames. Including Bata, King, and Your Majesty |
